주여, 주님은 더욱 높힘을 받으소서

O God, be thou exalted over my possessions.

오 하나님, 주님은 저의 소유보다 더 높임을 받으소서.

Nothing of earth's treasures shall seem dear unto me if only Thou art glorified in my life.

주님은 제 삶에서 영화롭게 되기만 한다면 세상의 어떤 보물도 제게는 소중하게 느껴지지 않을 것입니다.

Be Thou exalted over my friendships.

주님께서 저의 우정보다 더 높임을 받으소서.

I am determined that Thou shalt be above all, though I must stand deserted and alone in the midst of the earth.

제가 비록 땅 한가운데에 홀로 외로이 서 있어야 할지라도 주께서 모든 것 위에 계시리라 굳게 믿습니다.

Be Thou exalted above my comforts.

주님께서 저의 안락함보다 더 높임을 받으소서.

Though it means the loss of bodily comforts and the carrying of heavy crosses I shall keep my vow made this day before Thee.

비록 육체적인 안락함을 잃어버리고 무거운 십자가를 지는 것을 의미할지라도, 저는 오늘 주님 앞에서 행한 저의 서원을 지킬 것입니다.

Be Thou exalted over my reputation.

주님께서 제 명성보다 높임을 받으소서.

Make me ambitious to please Thee even if as a result I must sink into obscurity and my name be forgotten as a dream.

그 결과 제가 불명예에 빠지고 저의 이름이 꿈처럼 잊혀진다고 해도 제가 주님을 기쁘게 해드리겠다는 열망을 갖게 하소서.

Rise, O Lord, into Thy proper place of honor, above my ambitions, above my likes and dislikes, above my family, my health and even my life itself.

오 주님, 제 야망, 좋아하는 것과 싫어하는 것, 가족과 건강, 심지어는 생명까지도 초월하여 주님께 드릴 수 있는 합당한 영광의 자리로 일어서게 하소서.

Let me decrease that Thou mayest increase, let me sink that Thou mayest rise above.

주님은 더욱 높임을 받으시고 저는 더욱 낮아지게 하소서, 주님은 더욱 영광을 받으시고 저는 더욱 낮아지게 하소서.

Ride forth upon me as Thou didst ride into Jerusalem mounted upon the humble little beast, a colt, the foal of an ass, and let me hear the children cry to Thee, `Hosanna in the highest.

주님께서 작은 짐승, 나귀 새끼를 타시고 예루살렘에 입성하신 것처럼 저를 타시고 아이들이 주님을 향해 부르짖는 소리를 제가 듣게 하소서. "가장 높은 곳에서 호산나!"
