1. 지원자격

1) 장애우에 대한 특별한 열정과 사랑이 있는 자

2) 정규 신학교 재학중이거나 졸업자, 혹은 특수사역 관련 전공자로 장애우 사역에 관심이 있는 자

3) 영어와 한국어로 소통이 가능한 자

4) 사랑부 가정, 부모들과 함께 자녀들을 사랑으로 섬길 자

2. 주요업무

1) 장애우들에게 하나님의 사랑을 전하고, 그들의 영적 필요를 돕는다.

2) 장애우 가정을 영적으로 돌보고, 부모와 함께 자녀를 위해 기도한다.

3) 자신의 성장과 사역을 위해 끊임없이 배우고, 노력한다.

4) 타 기관과의 협력을 통해 학생들을 지원 한다.( Milal Camp, Love Festival, 등)

5) 자원봉사자를 교육하고, 관리한다.

6) 매 주일 예배와 교육, 매월 1회 부모 모임, 년 1회 수련회와 야유회 등을 기획, 진행한다.

SPECIAL EDUCATION PASTOR, Part-Time

Description: Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church (GSPC) is located east of Los Angeles in the city of Chino Hills. GSPC is a member of the ECO denomination (A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians). We are in the process of hiring a part-time pastor or director to shepherd our Special Education department. We are looking for a shepherd who will love, teach, and guide our Special need members toward our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a part-time position for Sunday Worship and Bible Study. There are currently 2 staff and 6 volunteer members serving in the ministry.

1. Qualification

1) Currently enrolled in or graduated from a theology program at an accredited seminary or someone who has heart to serve disabilities children and adults. Verification WILL BE requested prior to hiring.

2) Fluency in Korean and some ability of English is required.

3) Previous Special Education ministry experience preferred but we will consider all applications.

4) Must have a family-centered ministry mindset, as parents are a crucial part of the ministry.

2. Primary duties are as follows

1) To share the love of God with people with disabilities

2) Assess ministry needs for people with disabilities

3) Support families of people with disabilities

4) Maintain up to date information on ministry materials, special equipment, resources, and other items to support students

5) Partner with other organizations to support students (Milal Camp, Love Festival, etc.)

6) Train volunteers to provide appropriate support for each individuals
