놀라운 이름(Wonderful Name)

“이는 한 아기가 우리에게 났고 한 아들을 우리에게 주신 바 되었는데 그 어깨에는 정사를 메었고 그 이름은 기묘자라, 모사라, 전능하신 하나님이라, 영존하시는 아버지라, 평강의 왕이라 할것임이라”(이사야 9:6)

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace"(Isaiah 9:6).

[3] 묵상

예수님 탄생 700여 년 전에 이사야 선지자로 통하여 예언된 예수님의 놀라운 이름과 그 사역의 위대성을 선포하고 있다. 

It proclaims the wonderful name of Jesus and the greatness of his ministry as prophesied by the prophet Isaiah 700 years before his birth.

예수님은 존재, 동녀 탄생, 33년의 공생애, 십자가 죽으심과 부활, 승천, 재림, 인품, 교훈, 기적의 능력 등 존재 자체가 ‘놀라우신(Wonderful)’ 분이시다.

Jesus is a ‘wonderful’ person in his very existence, birth as a virgin, 33 years of life, death on the cross, resurrection, ascension, second coming, personality, teachings, and ability to perform miracles.

예수님은 ‘상담자’(Counselor)로 탁월한 지혜자로 인생의 모든 문제를 상담해 주시고 놀랍게 문제를  해결해 주시는 분이시다.

Jesus is a ‘Counselor’, an excellent wise man who counsels all of life’s problems and solves them in surprising ways.

또한 예수님은  ‘전능하신 하나님’(The Mighty God)으로 하나님 아버지와 동등하신 전능히신 분으로 모든 인생 문제의 근본 해결자이시다.

In addition, Jesus is ‘The Mighty God’, an almighty equal to God the Father, and the fundamental solver of all life’s problems.

그리고 ‘영존하시는 아버지’(The Everlasting Father)가 되셔서 아버지로서 사랑과 능력이 많으신 분으로 우리의 진정한 보호자가 되신다.

And by becoming ‘The Everlasting Father’, he is a man of great love and power as a father and becomes our true protector.

또한 ‘평강의 왕’(The Prince of Peace)으로 세상의 왕처럼 군림하고 무력으로 지배하는 게 아니라 사랑과 평화로 다스리시는 분이시다.

Also, as the ‘Prince of Peace,’ he reigns like the king of the world and rules not with force, but with love and peace.

[4] 기도

700여 년 전 이사야 선지자에게 예언되신 분이시여,

You are the one who was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah 700 years ago,

놀라운 성육신 탄생, 구원의 은총으로 저의 삶을 놀랍게 만드신 분이시여,

You who have made my life wonderful by your wonderful incarnation and your saving grace,

저의 인생 문제에 놀랍고 진정한 상담자로 늘 함께 계시고,

You are always with me as a wonderful and true counselor in my life's problems,

전능하신 하나님으로 모든 난맥상의 문제의 해결자가 되시고,

Almighty God is the solution to all difficult problems,

영원도록 변함없이 보호자, 아버지가 되신 주님,

Lord, who has been our eternal protector and father,

이 땅과 저의 삶을 평강의 은총으로 다스려 주옵소서, 아멘

Please rule this land and my life with the grace of peace, Amen(23.12.12).
