Kids Ministry Director / Pastor

Simi Valley Korean Baptist Church (SVKBC)

Simi Valley Korean Baptist Church, located northwest of Los Angeles (approximately 40 miles from Koreatown), is seeking a passionate and dedicated minister to lead our Kids Ministry. We are looking for a leader who loves children and has a vision for nurturing the next generation with the Gospel.

1. Qualifications

• Theology: A committed believer with an evangelical theological background dedicated to children's ministry.

• Education/Experience: Current seminary student or graduate (M.Div or equivalent) with prior ministry experience (Pastor or Minister/Intern).

• Language: Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is required to communicate effectively with students and parents.

2. Primary Responsibilities

• Friday Night Service: Lead service from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM (Arrival 1 hour early for preparation; includes staff meeting after service).

• Sunday Service: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Arrival by 9:00 AM to attend the 1st service and prepare for ministry).

• Annual Events: Plan and oversee major events with the education department (VBS, Retreats, Fall Festival, etc.).
