Part-time Special Needs Pastor (All-ages)

Jubilee Ministry - Education Department

Church Description

Choong Hyun Mission Church/Charis Mission Church is a Korean-American Presbyterian church (KAPC denomination) in Los Angeles, CA that focuses on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a church of 1500 in Sunday attendance, with a thriving and growing Education Department of +400 children from infant to special-needs members.

Job Description

1. Preach the Gospel mostly to young adults for weekly Sunday worship and Bible studies

2. Disciple and counsel members

3.    Encourage volunteers and cooperate and work with parents

4. Exemplify the Four-Core Values of our Education Department of Scriptural, Pastoral, Relational, and Missional

Qualifications

1. Seminary graduate or currently in seminary

2. Must be fully devoted to God and to the church of Jesus Christ and be committed to expressing that devotion to Jubilee members

3. Reformed and Presbyterian doctrinal convictions

4. Special-needs ministry experience preferred but not required

5. Collaborate with education pastoral staff and be able to work with other co-laborers for ED wide events.

6. Fluent in English and Korean (preferable)

Working Relationships

1. Report to Education Department pastor

2. Work closely with all Education Department pastors, staff, and ministry teams

Working Hours

Part-Time Position (15 hours/week)
